Chris Campbell joined the ZMM team in 2017. The majority of his career has focused on the design of PK-12 and higher education facilities in West Virginia. He has been involved in multiple projects that have been honored with design awards and achieved LEED Gold Certification.
In addition to educational projects, Chris has been involved in the design and project management on a variety of projects, including commercial, automotive dealerships, government facilities, justice (Homeland Security and Department of Justice), and religious spaces. His project responsibilities comprised all duties from project inception to completion.
In addition to his design and project management responsibilities, he has taken on the role of mentoring architectural students and graduates at ZMM. He has helped to ease the transition from academia to the profession and helps to ensure that current college students and recent graduates make a successful transition into the practice of architecture.
Chris is a Registered Architect in West Virginia and Virginia. He is a Professional Member of the American Institute of Architects, the US Green Building Council, and the West Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, where he previously served as president. He currently serves as the chair of the Charleston Land Reuse Agency.
He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and resides in Charleston, West Virginia with his wife, Heidi, and their son.
