Robert Doeffinger is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in 14 states. He has been involved in the design of a wide range of facilities including office, educational, correctional, military, retail, and industrial projects. Mr. Doeffinger has also designed large capacity central chilled water plants.

He is a member, past Chairman, and served as Research Chairman of the Load Calculation Data and Procedures Technical Committee for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Mr. Doeffinger has helped author the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) Standard on Peak Cooling and Heating Loads Calculations in Buildings.

Mr. Doeffinger graduated from West Virginia University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and in 1976 from The Pennsylvania State University with a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering.

Mr. Doeffinger was honored as an Outstanding Engineering Alumnus from his alma mater, The Pennsylvania State University, in recognition of his distinguished career and exemplary leadership abilities. This esteemed honor was bestowed on only 12 Penn State alumni from a pool of more than 100,000 in 2024.

He is also a recipient of an Award of Distinction from Marshall University. Mr. Doeffinger has been a champion of the Marshall University College of Information Technology and Engineering and has supported the growth of the engineering programs and their pursuit of accreditation. He proudly provides financial contributions and shares his time and talents with both institutions.
