Washington, D.C. – Signal Hill Equity Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Krason, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, ALEP, as President and Managing Partner of its Architecture and Engineering Services platform. In this role, Krason will provide strategic leadership across Signal Hill’s growing portfolio in the design and engineering sector while continuing to advance innovation and client service within the organization.

This appointment recognizes Krason’s proven track record of leadership at ZMM Architects + Engineers (ZMM), where he has served as an Architect, Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP), and Principal since 2003. Under his guidance, ZMM has expanded its impact across educational, civic, military, and commercial sectors, delivering projects that balance creativity, functionality, and long-term sustainability. ZMM was recently recognized as one of the fastest-growing design firms in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry in the United States and Canada. Krason’s ability to foster collaboration, mentor teams, build brand recognition and equity, and champion client-focused solutions uniquely positions him to steer the platform for continued growth.

Krason has led numerous award-winning projects and currently serves as President of the West Virginia Board of Architects and Chair of the West Virginia Foundation for Architecture. His leadership also includes roles on the City of Charleston’s Planning and Historic Landmarks Commissions, immediate past-chair of the Charleston Area Alliance, and other nonprofit boards. He holds bachelor’s degrees in architecture and civil engineering from The Catholic University of America and lives in Charleston, West Virginia with his wife, Sara, and their children. Krason will remain in Charleston in this new role, and a portion of his responsibilities will still be assigned to ZMM operations.

UPDATE TO ZMM OPERATIONS

Charleston, W.Va. – ZMM will continue to be led by local experts. Principal David Ferguson, AIA, REFP, has been named ZMM’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He previously served as ZMM’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). Principal Robert Doeffinger, PE, will remain the Chairman of the Board. Both Ferguson and Doeffinger have more than 40 years of service at ZMM and will continue to support firm operations as well as clients and projects.

Additional updates were made to ZMM’s operational structure to enhance support and provide continuity of services to clients. Rodney Pauley, AIA, will undertake the role of Director of Quality Assurance/Quality Control while Chris Campbell, AIA, LEED AP, will serve as ZMM’s Director of Production. Additionally, John Pruett, PE, LEED AP, has been named Director of Engineering. For the firm’s operational support, Jen Wood, MS IMC, will take on additional administrative duties in a new role as the Chief Administrative Officer/Chief Marketing Officer (CAO/CMO).
